Effects of Spermidine Supplementation on Cognition and Biomarkers in Older Adults With Subjective Cognitive Decline

In this randomized clinical trial that included 100 older adults, Schwarz et al found that intake of a spermidine-rich dietary supplement extracted from wheat germ (0.9 mg spermidine/d) over 12 months did not result in a significant beneficial effect on mnemonic discrimination performance and secondary outcomes as compared with placebo.
